1. What areas does your company service?

Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service services homes in the Durham (ALL Zipcodes) , Wake (27540, 27539, 27502, 27523, 27519, 27518, 27511, 27513, 27560, 27607, 27605, 27608, 27612, and Orange County (27510, 27514, 27515, 27516, 27517, 27599, 27278) areas. If you require DEEP CLEANING or MOVE IN/OUT service in a different area that is not listed, you will be subject to an additional mileage fee on top of the normal cleaning rate. Please call for details.

2. What time can I expect you to clean my home?

Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service services client homes Monday - Saturday between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm. If calling to schedule a cleaning where you are redeeming a gift certificate or coupon, please be advised that you may have to schedule your cleaning several weeks in advance.

Due to our flexible and ever changing schedule, it is difficult to commit to exact arrival times. With that being said, we cannot guarantee the exact time that we will arrive to clean your home. All clients are asked to choose whether they would prefer an AM (Before 12) or PM (After 12) appointment. Even if you normally have an afternoon cleaning, there may be times that we need to clean your home in the AM instead. If you need a more approximate arrival time, please call (919) 323-6882 after 9:00 am on the day of your appointment.

3. Does your company provide the supplies to clean my home?

Yes, our cleaning specialists are required to come prepared with all supplies for the cleaning of your home or office. However, for sanitary reasons, we do ask the clients to provide their own broom and toilet bowl brushes. If there is a specialty item that you would like for your cleaner to use ( special floor cleaner, special wood cleaner, etc) please leave the product with instructions on your kitchen counter.

Often times unscrupulous cleaning companies will have you provide the equipment and supplies so that they can claim that you are the employer, and if a worker is harmed while working in your home, a claim can be made against your homeowner insurance.

With our company, their are no worries! We provide all other supplies and save you the headache...

4. Are your supplies safe for pets and children?

Yes, our cleaners are able to utilize products which are Green Sealed, Environmentally Safe, or Traditional. You may specify your preference when booking your appointment.

5. Will I get my entire home cleaned within the amount of time that I booked?

All estimates are given over the phone or via email. Once we determine the recommended amount of time it will take to complete the job, we will give you a set price for that amount of time.

Any pricing given during your estimate (over the phone or email) will be adjusted if more time is needed once your cleaner has arrived. Someone from our office will contact you (within the first 2 hours of starting the job) to inform you if more time is needed and why. Clients have complete control over whether they approve additional time or not. We give estimates to give our clients an idea of what to expect, but the actual amount of work/time involved may vary depending on each home.

Items which may affect your rate include excessive clutter, dirt, grime, soap scum, and additional items requested (Inside appliance cleaning, cleaning of pet areas/hair, etc)


Please note: Your cleaner will only be prepared to work UP TO the amount of hours that you have booked. Should we arrive and determine that more time is needed, you will have the option of bumping up to the next time block (if the cleaner is available to stay later). If your cleaner is NOT able to stay later, you will need to schedule another appointment in order to finish the job.

6. How do I pay for house cleaning services?

Payment is required at the time of booking; the first time you use our services. If you are a recurring client, your credit card will be charged the night before your cleaning service.

7. How many people will come to clean my home?

Depending on the job, Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service will send out 1, 2 ,or 3 people to clean your home. Maintenance cleanings usually only require 1 cleaner.

8. What if something is damaged during the cleaning of my home?

For your protection, Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service carries general liability insurance in the case of an accident. Please keep in mind that accidents do happen. In the case of an accident, the cleaners are instructed to leave the client a note and the client will be contacted by our office by the end of the next business day. A report will be written and the item will be replaced, the client will be compensated, or a claim will be filed.

9. Does someone have to be home on the day of my cleaning?

Absolutely not. Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service does not require anyone to be home on the day of the cleaning. Actually most of our customers are not home when their homes are being cleaned. However, your team will need to be able to access your home when they arrive or a lockout fee (1/2 of cleaning fee) will be incurred. Please view our Policies page for our home entry options.

10. Will I receive the same cleaners on every cleaning?

If you are a client who is receiving recurring service, you will receive the same cleaning specialist on each cleaning. Should your cleaning specialist be out of work for the day or is no longer working with our company, we will schedule you with another cleaner.

11. Is there anything that I should do before the cleaners arrive?

It is advantageous to have your home picked up as much as possible allowing us to be able to get to all areas so that we can optimize your cleaning. If we have to spend time picking items up and putting them in their place prior to cleaning you may be billed for the extra time needed to do so. If we are unable to pick items up prior to cleaning, your cleaning specialist will strive to clean around said items.

12. Are you a pet friendly company?

Absolutely! At Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service we love our client's pets. If you have pets that are afraid of vacuums or are excitable, we may suggest that they be placed in areas where we are not working.
