It's so nice to meet you!
My name is Erika L. Lunsford and I would like to personally thank you for choosing our company for all of your house cleaning and office cleaning needs.
My work experience has always brought me in contact with the public. I love working with people. During my career in the retail industry, I put my heart into helping customers and my team. No matter what their needs or concerns were, I would always take the time out to help them find a solution. Unfortunately, my ability to assist them was limited as I could only reach those who came into our store. I wanted more. I wanted to be able to develop relationships with customers and provide them with a more personal experience...
Taking my passion of customer service, I started Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service in July of 2005. We are a family owned and operated house cleaning and office cleaning company who is actively involved in the community. Our clients and employees become extensions of our family, and we become extensions of theirs. Because we care about our clients, we ensure that the individuals we hire would not only be welcomed into your home, but also into ours. You can be assured that we take the time to check their references, run criminal background checks, and conduct random drug screenings.
As a company who values family and the environment, Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service also uses commercial grade, green-seal certified cleaning products. Take a look at our FAQ's page for answers to some of our most common questions. We look forward to doing business with you.
Durham, North Carolina-based Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service is a member of Cleaning for a Reason, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women undergoing treatment for cancer.
Approximately 11 years ago, the owner of Dirt Doctors Cleaning Service, Erika Lewis-Lunsford, experienced first hand how the effects of a cancer diagnoses can affect a family. Seeing her mother undergo treatment for breast cancer was devastating and exhausting for the entire family. During this period there was no time or energy for normal activities of daily living, let alone cleaning a house.
This experience inspired Erika to join the Cleaning for a Reason Foundation. As a member, Dirt Doctors' goal is to hopefully relieve some of the stress incurred by those undergoing cancer treatments.
The foundation was officially formed in May 2006, as a Texas non-profit corporation. Debbie Sardone, the founder, is a 25-year veteran of the house cleaning industry, and owner of Buckets & Bows Maid Service in Lewisville, Texas. The foundation recruits residential housecleaning businesses to donate time and money. Each cleaning company commits to servicing two free accounts per month and contributes monthly financial pledges, which are used to help sustain the base operations of the program. The maximum each cleaning service will take on at a time is two patients. For a patient to qualify, physicians must verify their illness. Today, there are more than 900 partners that offer these free services to women throughout the United States and Canada. To date, we have helped more than 13,000 women with cancer with more than $3.5 million in donated cleanings, and partnered with over 1000 maid services.
